Once again the St Gluvias Church Community Hall played host to the Fairtrade Big Breakfast. This helped to raise awareness to the plight of everyday farmers and workers around the world, who work hard to grow the food we all eat. Those that joined in this community breakfast also got to understand more about the issues of today’s farmers and got the chance to partake in a healthy breakfast, something that was enjoyed by all.
Bible Reading: Do not take advantage of a hired worker who is poor and needy, whether that worker is a fellow Israelite or a foreigner residing in one of your towns. Pay them their wages each day before sunset, because they are poor and are counting on it. (Deuteronomy 24:14-15)
